The San Francisco Fire Fighter’s Road Runners Club is holding their 41st annual 4.5-mile Interstation run, proceeds to benefit the San Francisco Firefighter Cancer Prevention Foundation.

Competition Details& Rules
Scoring will use the traditional format wherein only active and retired San Francisco Firefighters are eligible for individual awards and station points. We encourage everyone to participate and enjoy this sporting event. The competition will feature three team divisions—single & multi-company stations and Support Service Divisions. There are individual awards that go three deep in gender and age-group divisions. Awards for six age divisions (20-29; 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ for both men & women). So, come out with your station mates, participation counts—have some fun. There will be awards for the top stations, both single and multi-company divisions. Scoring for the station awards will be the same as in previous years.

Runners must register for the run and wear the “race bib” so it is seen from the front.
To be eligible for a station you must:
a. Be a regularly assigned member of a Company permanently assigned to the Station.
b. Be assigned UFO to a permanent Company of the Station. (UFO – Until Further Orders)
c. Day-to- day personnel, that do not have a permanent or UFO assignment will be considered
members of the Company in which they received their last “W” prior to Saturday, May 12, 2018.
d. Provisional promotional assignee's are considered members of current assigned Company or their
last “work-day” assignment prior to May 12, 2018.
e. Retired members are assigned to the last Company they worked prior to retiring.
Volunteers receive 3 points for their station. Team must satisfy the same requirements as runners and must notify Jim Gallagher by 5/8/18. There is no fee for volunteers. However, Name, Station, phone number, email address is to be given to Jim Gallagher either by email or mail. Volunteers need to be available by 8:00 a.m. on race day. Limit 2 volunteers per Single-company station, 3 volunteers per Multi-company station.
